The Majestic Metro
The only surviving theater in Houston from the days of silent pictures, the
Majestic Metro (opened as the Ritz in 1926) was restored and repurposed into one of Houston’s most unique gathering sites for wedding receptions, corporate parties and elegant galas; and it has been doing so for 20 years. The historic facility features a large dance floor, banquet-style seating and a state-of-the-art multimedia system. The unique historic design of the theater along with its modern media capabilities make The Majestic Metro a great venue for adding that touch of old Hollywood glamour to a downtown corporate function. Located in the heart of Houston’s downtown historic district, The Majestic Metro is only minutes away from some of the city’s most popular attractions, including the George R. Brown Convention Center and Minute Maid Park.

Downtown Aquarium
With a beautiful cylindrical aquarium tank in the foyer area, the third floor of the Downtown Aquarium features the stunning 6,000-square-foot Nautilus Ballroom that transports guests into a world of under-the-sea refinement with breathtaking views of the downtown skyline from the private wrap-around balcony. The ballroom can divide into smaller sections, and packages are available that combine the space rental with the amusement park activities and exhibits.

The Houston Zoo
