sporting new spaces
There is always something new in the Bayou City, and this time, it’s all about the sports. Becoming increasingly a destination for sports fans of all persuasions, Houston offers two new professional sports arenas with stunning private event spaces to use on game day or throughout the year.

BBVA Compass Stadium
BBVA Compass Stadium is available for booking a variety of sporting, concert, festival, corporate and private events. For corporate groups, BBVA offers the indoor West Club (108 seated, 120 maximum) with its permanent setup that includes a seating and dining area, a bar area and an outdoor patio. BBVA also has the partly covered indoor/outdoor Heineken Terrace (for 150 standing) and Budweiser Deck (for 100 standing), either of which can be combined with Concourse depending on the needs of the group. In addition, BBVA has three party suites, each of which can hold 14–16 people or combined for a total of 50. All food and beverage catering is handled through the in-house Levy Restaurants, and audiovisual packages are available.

Constellation Field
The brand-new Constellation Field is a year-round, full-service special events venue that serves as home to the Houston area’s only minor league baseball team, the Sugar Land Skeeters. The ballpark has a variety of dynamic indoor and outdoor settings that accommodate everything from intimate catered gatherings to large-scale on-field events for up to 5,000. The large and airy Insperity Club is a climate-controlled space with a full-service bar area and capacity for 450 that enjoys natural lighting and a stunning view of the field. Off that space are the field’s fully catered climate-controlled party suites for entertaining small groups of clients or employees or celebrating personal milestones. Plus, the Diamond Deck, so close to home plate you can hear the pop of the ball on the catcher’s mitt, lets small groups interact at patio-table seating. At Constellation Field, the event staff also provides professional full-service catering with custom menus far beyond ballpark concessions in a variety of service styles as well as full-bar capabilities, audiovisual services, access to the giant video board, an optional dance floor and more than 2,000 on-site parking spaces.

The art of meetings
Houston is known for its acclaimed Museum District, a collection of 19 museums within a 1.5-mile radius that aims to maximize access to artistic and educational experiences for the greater Houston area. Consider an artful change of atmosphere for your next meeting or event instead of the basic hotel ballroom or convention center. Any one of the spaces in these world-class museums can add flair to your function. The following is just a few of the fabulous offerings that the Houston Museum District provides for private event bookings large and small, indoors and out.

Asia Society Texas Center
Asia Society Texas Center offers a warm, intimate atmosphere of diverse and flexible indoor and outdoor spaces for private events. With convenient and secure parking, on-site kitchen preparation for banquets and luncheons, a full-service caterer and a professional staff to ensure a successful event, your event planning can be effortless. Consider the 273-seat Brown Foundation Performing Arts Theater for meetings or presentations or hold a flexible event in the 3,874-square-foot Fayez Sarofim Grand Hall or the 3,000-square-foot Edward Rudge Allen III Education Center. Asia Society Texas Center also offers outside venues, such as the 1,628-square-foot Water Garden Terrace and a spacious Festival Lawn.

Children’s Museum of Houston
Designed by Robert Venturi, the playful Children’s Museum of Houston offers flexible indoor and outdoor rental plans in a dazzling and vibrant setting. Full of color and designed for the young and young-at-heart, the 9,000 square feet of interactive, state-of-the-art exhibits can make any occasion—from corporate meetings and seminars to social events and celebrations—just explode with creativity and delight. Groups can rent out the Kid’s Hall and all exhibition areas for up to 2,500 guests. The Brown Foundation Auditorium seats 164, and during the day, groups can use the Duncan Family Conference Room for 50 at tables or 100 in theater style. Plus, the outdoor courtyard features a native plant garden, woodland area and an interactive, cascading water structure, all available for your event.

Contemporary Arts Museum Houston
At the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston, corporate donors and patrons of the museum can host select private events in the iconic steel building. With four spaces, including two galleries, guests can mingle alongside the exhibitions on display. The 4,000-square-foot ground-level Zilkha Gallery houses temporary exhibitions from various artists and can accommodate 300 while the Brown Foundation Gallery (at 8,000 square feet) can hold 500 for a reception in the main exhibition space upstairs. Also available is the intimate Cullen Education Resource Center, great for small business presentations or receptions up to 50 with bistro-style metal tables and chairs. Take your event for up to 200 outside on the Harris and Eliza Kempner Terrace that boasts a stunning backdrop of this iconic building as well as the front lawn and fountain.
