— George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH)
Located on the north side of the city, this airport is accessible via Interstate 45, U.S. Highway 59, the Hardy Toll Road and the Sam Houston Toll Road (Beltway 8). It welcomes service from national carriers like American, Delta, United and US Airways as well as many international airlines. The following are sophisticated hotel selections close by.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Houston Intercontinental Airport is just one mile from IAH and provides complimentary airport shuttling to and from for its guests. Spacious guestrooms, freshly baked cookies, top-of-the-line toiletries, WiFi access and oversized work areas ensure comfort and connectivity. Guests can enjoy hotel dining at Oakley’s buffet breakfast or lively evening drinks at Derrick’s Saloon. Located just eight miles from IAH and only 17 miles from Downtown Houston, the Hyatt Place Houston Bush Intercontinental Airport is only minutes from several major corporate headquarters and some of the area’s best shopping and dining at The Woodlands and Deerbrook Malls. Guests enjoy spacious rooms, a fitness center and outdoor pool and complimentary WiFi available throughout the hotel while complimentary food service is available at the intimate Bakery Café, the 24-hour Guest Kitchen or the Kitchen Skillet with fresh orders of breakfast favorites. The Marriott Houston Airport at George Bush Intercontinental, located right in the middle of IAH, provides a welcome retreat mere minutes from the airport via a complimentary underground tram with service to and from the terminal. Guests are invited to use the 24-hour fitness center, indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub and enjoy cocktails and snacks at Basil’s Tavern or Mediterranean-inspired cuisine at Basil’s Kitchen. The Sheraton North Houston also offers more than 30,000 square feet of newly renovated flexible meeting space with up to 24 breakout rooms that can accommodate intimate meetings for 10 or conventions for 1,000. The biggest space, the Grand Ballroom, features 14-foot ceilings and can be divided into five separate salons.

— William P. Hobby Airport
A smaller airport, Hobby is located on the southwest side of the city and accessible via the Sam Houston Toll Road (Beltway 8) and Interstates 45 and 610. A focus airport for Southwest Airlines, it also welcomes service from other carriers like AirTran, American and Delta Airlines. In May 2012, the Houston City Council approved Southwest Airlines’ proposal to build a $100-million international facility at the airport that is scheduled to open in 2015. The following hotels are located close by.

Having just finished a $2.3-million renovation, the Courtyard Houston Hobby Airport Hotel now features a new state-of-the-art lobby that offers guests greater flexibility and choices, including The Bistro, which offers healthy food and beverages in the morning and at evening dinner service with cocktails. Its location ideally right off Interstate 45 just blocks from Hobby and only six miles from the Port of Houston makes accessible all of the Houston attractions people come to see, including the Johnson Space Center at NASA. Guests enjoy comfortable rooms with well-lit work desks and free WiFi as well as complimentary 24-hour airport shuttle service.
